The colourful kingdom of the Indian Himalaya provide some of the finest and rewarding trekking in the world, but remain little visited which makes this area pristine and unspoilt. The Indian Himalaya is undoubtedly one of the most spectacular and impressive mountain ranges in the world. Trekking is an unforgettable experience. You have the opportunity of trekking through Hindu settlements and past temples, isolated Buddhist Monasteries, camping beside shepherd encampments. It brings you direct in contact with the country and its people, and helps to foster an appreciation of the mountain environment. While crossing the high passes it is also salutary to note the many pilgrims, traders and armies who have followed these trails for generations and whose journeys reflect the rich cultural history of the region.

Combine this with an interest in the variety of birds, wildlife, forests and wildflowers and the opportunity to view the many snow-capped peaks over 6000m, and you will have all the ingredients for a highly rewarding trekking experience. The most common misconception about trekking is that you must be young or super-fit to go on them – nothing could be further from the truth. If you want an arduous trek that will stretch you physically, then we can certainly provide it. But most of our holidays are about an enjoyable adventure for everyone. As a rule though, a days walk can be anything between 4 and 8 hours including breaks and snacks. We will have a leisurely, longer break for lunch by a mountain stream.

We end eavour to allow trekkers to walk at their own pace and plan time for essential acclimatization. There are horses and porters as part of our team who will carry all the essential luggage. You will only be expected to carry water and any essentials you would carry on a day walk.

We provide pure mountain biking and genuine exploration without the hardship; wherever you are you will only have to carry what you would normally take on a day-ride. Our discreet support team and vehicles carry all your luggage and offer you the option of taking a rest if you are feeling tired and in need of a break.

Our camps are comfortable and boast stunning mountain views, at home in nature. Our excellent local/western mix team will look after you well and their knowledge of the local region is second to none, like their mouthwatering cuisine. All our food on expeditions is hygienically prepared by our Italian chef. We aim to share and evolve simple, practical ways to ensure a minimum impact on both the environment and the local culture and traditions.
